Mogollon, Inc. in association with Memories Preservation MultiMedia captured and produced it’s 30th Anniversary Commemorative Music Video.

Mogollon, (pronounced Mug-ee-own) began in the small Northeastern Arizona town of Overgaard. The name of the band is derived from the “Mogollon Rim”.

Playing music was a good way for a few high school buddies to impress the girls and to combat the boredom of a small town. After a few performances around the area, people agreed this “hobby” of theirs had potential to become more. And they were right!

Today, Mogollon has earned the reputation as one of the Premier Country Rock Entertainment groups in the West and continues to keep their high standard. Their scope of performing ability is truly amazing! They can play about anything, from Hank Williams to Pink Floyd to their original written songs.

With great vocals, incredible guitar wizardry, dueling fiddles and a high energy stage show, Mogollon has left people of all ages and all musical tastes wanting more!

Mogollon’s been playing now for 30 years and to commemorate this event Memories Preservation MultiMedia in association with Mogollon, Inc. assembled a 30th Anniversary Music Video DVD.

Memories Preservation MultiMedia video taped a number of concerts to capture the best of their contemporary work and then produced the music video in their studio in Chandler, Arizona.

Video taping of their ‘Live’ concert performances were captured on April 25th and 26th, 2008 at Tom Ryan’s Lounge located at the northwest corner of Arizona Avenue and Warner Roads in Chandler, AZ. In addition, vintage video footage presentation and commentary video taping was captured there as well. ( www.myspace.com/tomryanslounge )

Other ‘Live’ concert video tapings were captured at Harolds Cave Creek Corral in Cave Creek, Arizona ( www.haroldscorral.com ) on May 9th and 10th, as well as ‘Live’ concert capture of their October 4th and 5th performances at Tempe Sister Cities, Way Out West (C) Oktoberfest 2008.

The scope of the production took over 9 months of collaboration between Memories Preservation MultiMedia and Mogollon, Inc. and includes multi media showcasing of their 30 Years of Music together presented in a 2 disk DVD collectors limited edition set and is now available for purchase from Mogollon Band.

The set contains over 50 songs performed by the band, hundreds of photos and newsclips, 15 vintage video segments, 15 contemporary anniversary video performances and special commentary.

MPMM Produces Tribute Video of Pastor Isaac Kamau Mungai of Huruma Childrens Home, Ngong, Kenya

Memories Preservation MultiMedia produces Commemorative Tribute Video of Pastor Isaac Kamau Mungai who recently passed away of Huruma Childrens Home, Ngong, Kenya, Africa.

Excerpts from “A Sad Day In Kenya” column written by Brian Wurzell. You may visit Brian Wurzell online at www.brianwurzell.wordpress.com

Today at 3:00pm in Kenya , Papa Isaac Kamau Mungai, Mama Zipporahs husband died suddenly of a heart attack. Our heart is so very very sad for Mama and all the Children. Papa was a tower of influence of Christ in that community and especially to Mama. We are trying to figure out how to help her and the children right now. So please pray for them and also Shauna (who is from Cornerstone working full-time @ Huruma) who is not sure how to help.

If you want to send a prayer or note you may visit Huruma Children’s Home - Ngong, Kenya online at www.hchngong.org

I believe they would be encouraged by your prayers and support.

She is an amazing woman doing a work in Kenya that is bringing the hands and feet of Jesus to some of the most beautiful children in all of the world. She has become the mother of children that have been treated with the worst of the injustices anywhere in the world. She is a Saint, truly.

Much of the work that Mama Zipporah has done comes on the helms of her man, her husband, Papa Isaac (they call him). He’s the kind of guy that gave her his land (in Kenyan culture that is unheard of and totally radical) so that she could do the work God called her and them to do. He’s the kind of guy that works tirelessly towards the mission of justice, as he and Mama have adopted and house over 150+ children on their own.

Our church is very involved with the work that is happening at their home in Kenya called Huruma Children’s Home and we know them personally and love them quite immensely.

In the summer of 2008, 25 volunteers, from many different backgrounds, circumstances, vocations and ages followed their calling to go to Kenya to serve in a mission outreach to the Huruma Children’s Home in Ngong.

Huruma Children’s Home is a children’s orphanage located at the undulating slopes of the beautiful Ngong hills which is about 25km from Nairobi, the capital of Kenya in East Africa. This is unfortunately also a relatively poor area where most people have to struggle every day to make ends meet. Poverty, poor health, HIV/AIDS and massive unemployment are the main challenges people meet. Many children are orphans or live in families that are not able to care for them at all.

In 1989, Mama Zipporah (as she’s called by just about everyone) and her husband, Pastor Isaac Kamau Mungai, opened their doors to some of the destitute and orphaned children of the Ngong area.

Huruma Children’s Home started by accommodating seven children, but over the years the number of children increased, and now Huruma caters for over 150 children, both girls and boys.

Cornerstone Church continues to reach out to many areas of need both internationally and domestically. This is just a summary of one of their many stories…

You may visit Cornerstone Church, Chandler, Arizona online at www.cornerstonechandler.com

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

1. PLEASE PRAY. pray for Gods peace to rush in and hug them close.

2. If you have ANY platform to raise awareness and/or donations for Huruma Children’s Home and this situation DO IT (Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Websites, literal Stages or any other creative way)! You can link them to my blog entry or directly to the Huruma Website. Email me if you have any questions brianwurzell@gmail.com

3. GIVE. Give them whatever you can. If you have a $1 or $5 or a MILLION and you can give…GIVE!! Because Huruma is such a grassroots movement (they don’t have the backing of World Vision or Compassion, etc…) Papa was a huge source of generating income for them, beyond some donations from a few relationships they have. Any donations that you might be willing to make in the honor of Papa Isaac…which I think would be an INCREDIBLE expression of love to them. (let’s blow them away with financial support, let’s build their dorm in his honor)
